Meredith edges closer, leaning her head against his shoulder again. It's not the most comfortable of places, but he makes up for it, even if he makes her that much likelier to fall asleep. She's not sure if it's because or in spite of the fact they've been through all kinds of hell that he makes her feel safe, secure, in a way that's no longer rare but no less precious for it, but she'll take it, whatever the cause.
