It's all of two blocks to get back, but with occupied streets and the threat of imminent daybreak on them, it feels more like two miles. It's a quiet jaunt, though, interrupted only by the passage of a civilian out early, right up until the truck is in sight and the sound of automatic gunfire breaks the silence. Cursing under his breath, Sean pauses for a fraction of a second to let Meredith get ahead of him. "Run!" he hisses, glancing quickly back the way they came. It's still clear, and the shots came from far enough away that the truck should still be safe, but if they've been compromised, there's no more time to waste.
